Our Story

Uneik Jewellery began in 2007 shortly after I made a pendant for myself that had my three children’s fingerprints on it. It was not a fine jewellery piece and was made from a messy silver clay type product, but it was my children’s prints and I loved it.  I began wearing the pendant and received many positive comments, everyone loved the idea of recording their children’s prints in jewellery.

My original design was not perfect, and I would have preferred something made out of Gold or Sterling Silver.  Over the next seven months, after a lot of trials and many errors, I was able to develop a process where I was able to produce fingerprint jewellery using 9ct Gold and Sterling Silver.  Uneik Jewellery was granted a registered Australian Patent for this unique process. (IP Australia Patent 2008100644) During this development stage, I also found that there was also an interest in having names incorporated into precious jewellery pieces. 

In mid-2008, we launched Uneik Jewellery with two jewellery ranges: The Fingerprint collection and the Expressions collection (Personalised Name Jewellery).

We went on to develop the Hand & Footprint range. This range is loved by our customers and suitable for those who only have hand and footprint memories of their loved ones.

The Pet Print collection for those that love their pets was also added to our range.
